The Pundit Panel (Week 9, Game 2): Legion v. Austin Bold

Time to get the brooms out again?

Nobody got it perfectly right Wednesday evening, and Kaylor was the only one to predict a Louisville win. He’s off for this game, having rather weightier matters on his mind (congrats to you both, by the way!).

The Legion return to the Magic City for the only home fixture in a 12-day 4-game stretch (they head to Miami on Wednesday). Here’s the panel’s thinking on this match-up:

Prediction
draw 1-1

win 2-0

win 2-1
Comments This is a risky one. Austin are also in a busy stretch – 4 games in 11 days, and this is the 3rd away game in 8 days. They can be erratic, but are coming off an emotional last-gasp win at RGV and riding high. Look for an equal split of the spoils.

I also predict a 90-minute rain delay.

The Legion will come back home to Birmingham, and get back to winning ways. I don’t see many changes, especially to formation. Soehn may change the starting line up a bit, but Legion stays on the attack and gets back on track at home.    The game against Louisville was disappointing…but it wasn’t all bad as I honestly believe we were the better team in the first half. Once the game got away, we took our foot off the gas and coasted into this next game. This is winnable. 2-1 Legion.
Season to Date 4/18 5/18 10/18 4/18
