The Pundit Panel (Week 20, Game 2): Legion @ Memphis 901The Smokeout Tour continues
The entire panel correctly predicted the Legion win Wednesday in Kansas City, but nobody thought the result would be anywhere near as tight as it ended up. As the Legion make the slow trip homeward, they stop off tonight in the city where barbecue is just a bluff. How will they fare?

Memphis 901 have a singular ability to embarrass themselves. They did so Wednesday evening.
The Legion, on the other hand, have a rather repeated habit of underperforming. Which they did Wednesday evening. The continued absence of Bruno Lapa is partly to blame, and Junior Flemmings is also missed (he played 28 minutes for Jamaica in a 2-1 loss to Mexico Thursday). Other injuries have made the bench rather empty of late, so needed rotation isn’t happening. Nevertheless, the chance to retake the divisional lead is too good. A draw would get that, but the Three Sparks will do enough for the full points. |
After a disappointing loss while being up a man on 901 night, Area Code looks to right the ship but with most of their team hurt, it looks difficult for them.
As the Battle for Corridor X concludes tonight, the Legion look for all 3 points against what is bound to be a very rowdy crowd. Will the Legion stop or simply overcome Kyle Murphy? We’ll see.
2-1 Legion
