Neco Brett returns to the Legion
In a somewhat unexpected move, the Legion today announced the return of forward Neco Brett.
After two solid seasons in Birmingham, Brett left last year to play with New Mexico United, where he had a relatively down year, appearing 25 times and scoring 8 goals.
The news means that between Tyler Pasher and Brett the club now has some serious firepower up top. It also likely also means that Juan Agudelo will not return this season.
As such, this is a very welcome addition, but the club still has yet to replace Bruno Lapa and Jonny Dean, who have left very big shoes to fill. The January transfer window is of course still very much open, so more signings should be expected over the next couple of weeks.
And so the Magic City Brigade will need to get the Jamaican flag back out of storage and dusted off.
