Legion Signs Forward Juan AgudeloLook out league
In what is surely the biggest news out the Legion since, well, forever, the club today announced the signing of Juan Agudelo.
A 29-year-old forward, Agudelo has played for several MLS clubs as well as FC Utrecht in the Netherlands and has extensive international experience at various levels, including 28 appearances for the full US national team in which he scored 3 goals. He played 6 years for the New England Revolution and so has long-standing relationships with numerous coaching and playing staff already at the Three Sparks. Most recently, he was with Minnesota United on a 1-year deal that expired early this month.
As we noted in our post on transfers earlier this afternoon, this is of course pending league and federation approval, so it is unclear if he will be available for Saturday’s game against Louisville City. The club had better be burning up the phone lines to USL HQ in Tampa and USSF HQ in Chicago is all I can say.
